Wealth Advice for Retirement, a Life Transition, or Your Nonprofit.

I help pre-retirees time pensions, Roth conversions, and withdrawals; guide families through inheritance, the loss of a spouse, and divorce; and sit with nonprofits on their investment committees. The situations differ. The work is the same: understand what you have, clarify what matters, and walk through it together.

I'm a fiduciary, on an independent, open-architecture platform. No proprietary products, no quotas, no corporate product menu. The advice starts with you and stays there, whether you're across town or across the country.

WHY FEE-ONLY FIDUCIARY MATTERS

Not every advisor is required to put you first. I am.

Picture two products side by side. Some advisors can recommend the one that pays them the bigger commission. As a fee-only fiduciary, I can't. I'm paid only by you, I'm legally required to recommend what's best for you, and I have to disclose any conflict.

Financial advisors in the U.S.

Per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

~31,000

Act as fiduciaries only.

Registered as investment advisers, not also as brokers. No split loyalty.

~5,000

Are fee-only fiduciaries.

Paid only by clients, never by product commissions. I'm one of them.

You've found one. My fees are clear and fully disclosed, and your interests come first, every time.

WHO I WORK WITH

I Work With People Navigating Real Financial Decisions.

Whether it's a life transition, a retirement on the horizon, or an organization that needs institutional depth, the work starts with understanding your situation. Here's who I work with:

Families & Life Transitions

Divorce, the loss of a spouse, an inheritance, retirement. The financial decisions tend to land all at once, on top of everything else. I help you slow them down and take them in order.

Institutional & Non-Profit

Endowments, foundation assets, and operating reserves come with their own constraints: spending policy, board oversight, donor restrictions. The portfolio has to fit the mandate, not the other way around.

Learn more →

Telecommunications & Utilities

Long careers at AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, SRP, or PG&E come with pieces that don't fit together neatly: pensions, deferred comp, employer stock, union rules. The work is figuring out how each piece interacts with the rest.

Aerospace & Defense

Honeywell and Raytheon careers come with pieces that interact in ways most people don't see until it's too late: pension elections, deferred comp under 409A, employer stock from the match. The work is sequencing decisions so they don't undo each other.

Physicians, Families & Business Owners

Physicians at Banner Health, owners running a practice, families with concentrated wealth. Different situations, common thread: high income that hasn't translated into a coherent plan. The work is closing that gap.

Tech & Engineering

TSMC, Intel, NVIDIA, Apple. RSUs, ESPP, performance bonuses, sometimes options on top of all that. The work is deciding what to sell, what to hold, and what the tax bill looks like when each piece vests.

INDEPENDENCE

No Corporate Playbook. No Proprietary Products. Open Architecture.

I work on an independent, open-architecture platform. That means no wirehouse quotas, no pressure to sell in-house funds, no proprietary products, and no limits on where your assets are custodied. I can recommend what actually fits your situation, not what earns a firm a higher margin.

Product agnostic means exactly that. If a low-cost index fund is the right answer, that's what I recommend. If a more complex strategy makes sense, we build it. The point is that nothing is off the table and nothing is forced on it.

Your investment accounts are held at leading, well-known custodians that Farther works with, such as Charles Schwab, Apex, Fidelity, and Pershing, so your assets stay secure while we focus on advice and execution.

THINGS WORTH KNOWING

The Numbers Behind the Transitions That Matter Most.

These are the moments where good advice changes the outcome.

$120K+

Potential lifetime tax savings from a well-timed Roth conversion strategy during the gap years between retirement and Social Security.

Of nonprofit boards say they lack confidence in their investment oversight. The mandate deserves institutional depth, not a side project.

$109K

The income threshold where IRMAA surcharges kick in for single filers ($218K married filing jointly). A single Roth conversion or capital gain can push you over the cliff, and the surcharge hits your Medicare premiums two years later. Most pre-retirees don't plan for it until the bill arrives.

HOW I WORK WITH YOU

What Working Together Actually Looks Like.

No pitch decks. No pressure. Here's how it works.

We Talk

Your Situation, Not My Services

I want to understand what's going on in your life, what decisions are in front of you, and what's weighing on you. This is a conversation, not an intake form.

We Decide Together

I Confirm I Can Add Value. You Confirm It Feels Right.

Not every situation is the right fit, and that's fine. If I can help, I'll tell you exactly how. If I'm not the right person, I'll say that too.

We Stay Connected

Your Advisor, Not a Call Center

You get my direct number. Text, call, email. Regular check-ins, proactive adjustments when life changes, and someone who knows your situation when you reach out. No 1-800 number, no being routed to whoever's available.

HOW I GIVE BACK

Every year, I set aside room for people who need real planning, whatever their circumstances.

Climbing out of debt with no clear plan. Rebuilding after a divorce. Losing a spouse and not knowing where to start financially. These are the moments where good advice changes everything.

Each year I reserve space in my practice for a few of these engagements, at no charge. A full 12-month planning relationship, not a discounted version, not a scaled-down one. The same process, the same access, the same team my other clients get. The fee isn't the point. The work is.
